Mercy in Motion To be real, relational, and re-energized. To be motivated by compassion. To connect with each other in an honest way... These are the things that define our women's ministry
The demands on women today are enormous. We are pulled in so many directions of life - whether it’s family, work, education, etc. We are often challenged and wear ourselves out to meet the needs that constantly bombard us in society today.
REAL – RELATIONAL – RE-ENERGIZED
Being real today is a challenge! We need to put down the façade and take the time and courage to develop trust in one another. We seemed to have lost that in today’s society - it's hard to trust! But - the good news is - Jesus never gave up on people. He was moved with compassion. He got tired and took a break now and then, but never gave up on trusting and believing in people. HE received them right where they were and challenged them to reach their potential. Mark 6:34 (NIV) "34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things."
My heart and vision has a passion for women to change the “I CAN’T" to the "I CAN!" I can draw from HIS heart of compassion. I can connect with women of all ages. I can create an atmosphere of connection that is real and relational and brings a refreshing. I can use my creativity. "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!" Philippians 4:13.
Born and raised within a family of five brothers and one sister in the great Whaling City of New Bedford, Massachusetts. In 1973, I walked into a coffee house with a lot of young people who were praising and worshipping God with Christian music. For the very first time, l heard the preacher talk about God's love as he quoted John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son and that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." My heart was so moved when the question was asked, "do you know Jesus and His love for you?" That night l said a prayer and ask Jesus into my heart and life and a change started to take place. That was the beginning of my journey with Jesus. I believe that many women need and desire a love that only God can give. It is the kind of love that is needed to live a complete and full life. It is my prayer that every woman would grab a hold of the love that God has for them so that they can live their lives to the fullest!
